Water

The experience of being underwater is a recurrent theme. We move and behave differently, our body language is less controlled and more revealing. Sometimes the water cocoons the figure, centring it back to the internal world. Other figures are seen from underwater, weightless, some without heads, their expression coming out in body, shape and movement alone. At times the silence and stillness of the underwater space is thrown into relief by the agitation of life on the surface.
